Handprint Painting/Button Art/Volcanic Explosion Experiment

This past weekend, the children had so much fun with Teacher Sunita making interesting handprint paintings and conducting exciting volcanic explosion experiments!

During the Handprint Painting Workshop, the children learned the parts of the hand as well as how to count. Then they formed a team and took turns dipping their hands in the paint and making a colorful painting of a peacock and its beautiful tail. Later on, the children made handprints on their own paper. Look how they gave full play to their imaginations and made creative handprint paintings!

During the Volcanic Explosion Experiment, the teacher explained the science behind a volcanic eruption and introduced world’s most famous volcanoes as well as vocabulary related to volcanoes. The children then took turns conducting volcanic explosion experiments. They cheered and screamed so happily when they saw the red “lava” flow out from the crater.

The children who did not dare to participate in the experiment at the very beginning were inspired to bravely raise their hands and conducted the experiment by themselves! After the experiment, the children also started to make their own volcanoes out of playdough.

Look how the children intently follow the experiment and carefully craft their very own volcanoes!
