Welcome to our new theme Transportation! Cars, trains, planes, and beyond! Transportation is always a favorite theme for students!

The learning package selected for Seniors is comprised of a book and learning material that are perfect for exploring the theme of Transportation. 

Our curious seniors will read How does the Subway Operate, an informative book on traveling underground.  The story emphasis the importance of subways as one of the fastest and most convenient train system used in the modern world. Children will be amazed to read about the complex and efficient operating systems of subways. They shoot through underground tunnels back and forth to connect towns and cities without colliding into each other, wow!  The book also tells about the superb machinery of the subway, which helps it to turn and move backward and forward without the use of a steering wheel.

The Smart Assembling Kit is a manipulative construction learning material. Children can use their creativity to brainstorm and piece together different colored shapes to design their own patterns like a helicopter, a ship, an airplane, a car, etc. The kit is easy to carry and can be used both indoors and outdoors. Apart from being lots of fun, this material also helps your little engineer enhance his or her logical thinking, imagination, spatial skills, color sense, problem solving skills and fine motor skills!
 

       
Additional Learning Tips
Here are some suggestions that can help your child better understand Transportation while also having fun!
• Allow your child to be an independent guide! Give him or her opportunities to guide you back home by following safety rules while crossing the road.

• Allow your child to be a creative engineer! Let him make the best use out of waste to design his own play area with models of different types of transportation. 

• Discuss safety rules when on the road, such as using cross walks and overpasses, and paying close attention to road signs.  

• Boost your child’s interest in the theme by helping him or her create a scrap book album with cut outs of his favorite transportation from newspapers, magazines and books. 

• Pay a visit to one of the newly opened subway stations in Xiamen. Guide your child on how to buy a ticket, how to wait patiently before boarding the subway and how to follow the safety rules when inside the subway.
