In these ten years, we have lovely children, who spend their school life and grow up with us. We also have staff members that take care of children every single day.
In the last episode, we had an interview with Uncle Peter, who was abundant in character.
Today, Sunny is going to interview a heartthrob. Guess who it is!

Said Amy, principal of Lakeside Sunshine Home. She is proud to have such an amazing teacher, and couldn’t help praising him the moment she knew we were going to interview him.
One of Teacher Micah's biggest fans is a student in the Tigers class. In order to attend Micah’s class, her family moved from Jimei Area closer to Sunshine Home Lakeside.
Mowgle from the Monkeys class worked for a month to give Micah a flower craftwork that she made all by herself.
Elsa in the Bear s class keeps thinking about dressing in matching costumes with Micah for Halloween.
One reason why students who have already graduated return to Sunshine Home is just to get a chance to see Micah again.
When the classwork had to ease during the epidemic, asking Micah for outdoor activities was the most wonderful thing for children. They danced together and practiced spoken English.
Oh, my! We wonder why children are crazy about him. Does Teacher Micah have any magical powers?

I firmly believe that the more you know about Teacher Micah, the more love and respect you will have for him.
Why did you come to China?
China was my dream destination. I have been fascinated by China’s history, culture, customs and food for a long time.
Therefore, after graduating from my university, instead of working as a doctor, I decided to go to China and took a job while traveling around.
The first stop was Wuxi in Jiangsu province, where I started my career as an English teacher. Later, my friend told me that there was a very good school in Xiamen called Sunshine Home.
Then I came to Xiamen. Now I have been working at Sunshine Home for two years. I really love it here!
Why do you work as a teacher?
I would have had the opportunity to make lots of money if I worked as a doctor. But I didn't think I would feel a sense of accomplishment. I spent a lot of time thinking and I changed jobs frequently. I stopped to think: what do I really want to do?
My doubt was cleared when I worked as a teacher – teaching the children and helping them grow makes me so happy. It’s a happiness that comes from the bottom of my heart!
I especially feel this way when I help children to learn something important about life.
It may have nothing to do with science, math or English, but could be as simple as teaching them how to be kind or how to treat people nicely.
They make me feel great! Much happier than making millions of dollars!
What do you want for your children?
I hope my children can learn to be loving but strong people. Being strong doesn't mean being mean or being a bully. I want to be their role model. I am powerful, but gentle and wise as well.

Why do you like to help others?
My parents taught me that it is better to give than to receive. Be generous and helpful, and stay away from selfishness.
They convinced me that I wouldn't have to always be in pursuit of profits, and that trying to do things from the bottom of my heart would make me happier.
So if I have spare time, I'm willing to give people a hand.
What do you like to do after class?
I like reading, sports and music a lot. Recently, I have been taking singing lessons and learning to play the guitar.

Sunshine Home’s environment and corporate culture are more suitable for me than the English training organizations I have worked for in Wuxi.
Sunshine Home not only cares about the growth of children, but also about the growth of its employees. They give me opportunities to grow, and give students personalized care. I really enjoy my job, especially during these challenging times.
I can still breathe in the fresh air with my children and we can play together outdoors on fine days. Not everyone can have this kind of experience. I feel so lucky that I can do this at this moment.
