Hobbies Themed Learning Package | Ebru and A Day Without Cra

Dear Parents,

Welcome to our  academic theme Hobbies! Hobbies help children explore their interests, relax, and develop skills in different areas!

Toy and Learning Material Suggestions

The learning package selected for Seniors is comprised of a book and learning material that are perfect for exploring the theme of Hobbies!

Seniors will love to read A Day Without Crayons! This exquisitely colorful book tells the tale of Lisa, a little artist who loves coloring with crayons! When Lisa’s mom takes away her crayons Lisa at first finds her colorful world fading away. But then she discovers, Wow, the world around her is absolutely filled with colors! This story is sure to inspire your child to see the world through the brilliant hues of her imagination!

Seniors also have the opportunity to try their hands at Ebru, an easy and fun form of printmaking! The first step of Ebru, or paper marbling, is to create a colorful pattern with paints in a pan containing oil and water. Then you simply transfer that wonderful and brilliant pattern onto paper! This material is a wonderful way for your child to develop an interest in art as a hobby! It will help any child develop a better understanding of color through mixing different hues and help enhance the imagination. It also helps improve dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Additional Learning Tips

Art as a hobby will allow children to explore their imagination, creativity and express themselves through the world of colors! Here are a few suggestions that can help you guide your child through the theme of Hobbies:

• Encourage and motivate your child’s interests in different hobbies! If your child shows interest in something, help them explore it at home or even sign them up for lessons! Encourage your child to explore and appreciate other people’s hobbies, too.

Help your child come to know the proper methods for pursuing their hobbies well. Hobbies are fun, but they can also help us to learn self-discipline and responsibility.

• Try to share your child’s interests. Whether it’s sports, music or art, spend quality time with your child doing one of her favorite hobbies!

Thanks for allowing us to share a few suggestions that can help you guide your children through the Hobbies theme. We hope you find them fruitful and useful!
