Toy and Learning Material Suggestions

The learning package selected for Juniors is comprised of a book and learning material that are perfect for exploring the theme of Hobbies! 

Our energetic juniors we read a hilarious book Please Let Me Read the Book on My Own.  It’s about a little boy who is very interested in reading. He wants to read and find out the story’s ending on his own, but the other characters, a bunch of silly animals, keep butting in to give him clues about the story’s ending. This book emphasizes the importance of developing good reading habits and taking pleasure in books. Books can be our teachers and friends!

The learning material is The Bowling Kit. Bowling is a social game typically played with multiple players. By playing with others, students develop important social skills like cooperation, turn-taking and sharing with others. It’s not only fun and educational, but also healthy exercise! Playing helps strengthen muscles as well as enhance hand-eye coordination. Your child and her friends will surely make this sport their newest hobby!

Additional Learning Tips

Hobbies help children to use their leisure time in a productive manner and develop their skills in multiple areas. Taking up any type of sport as a hobby is beneficial for good health and to keep the body fit and energetic.  Here are a few suggestions that can help guide your child on how to choose great hobbies:

•    Talk about the benefits of taking up sports as a hobby for health. Exercise makes you happy and healthy!

•    If your child is interested in any type of sport (football, for example), then it would be fun to invite your child’s friends over for an exciting football match one weekend! 

•    Motivate and join in with your child to talk about her interests and promote her hobbies.

•    Have an exciting game of bowling with your child and help her appreciate the game.
