Childhood is a period of innocence, where happiness shines and worries evaporate. The Seniors’ time at Sunshine Home is coming to a perfect end. On the afternoon of July 5 and 6, at Seaside children, their parents and teachers gathered together for this year’s graduation ceremony.

The ceremony opened with a dance entitled “A Grateful Heart.” It was performed in sign by all the children, expressing their thanks to their parents and teachers. It made the teachers feel that all the efforts they made were worthwhile and appreciated. The teachers were so pleased and proud to see all the children being able to start another new stage of growth. 

Next, our teachers introduced the children to the meaning of a wish and how to make a Wish Bottle. On this memorable day, with such high expectations for the future, children and parents worked together to put their wishes into a bottle, with the hope that they might come true someday.

The most exciting part of the event was when parents helped their children put on their graduation gowns and the children went up unto the stage to receive their graduation certificate. The certificate represented all the growth the children have made. They were no longer little babies, but about to start their new lives in primary schools. At the same time, this ceremony was bittersweet, as we knew that the children were also saying goodbye to teachers and friends whom they have spent so many happy days with together.

This day for graduation is a special day for us to express our gratitude and say goodbye to each other. It was a unique day full of joy and pleasure. We sincerely hope our children will continue to study hard, make progress and have a wonderful future.

Sunshine Home would like to take this opportunity to express our special thanks to our parents for their ongoing support, understanding and cooperation, to our children for bringing us so much happiness, and also to our teachers for their efforts.
