Every parent is a wealth of knowledge. Our parents’ occupations, experiences and knowhow are such abundant educational resources for our children. In order to promote stronger connections between families and the school, on Friday, June 29, Seaside Sunshine Home invited our parents to join us for our Parents’ Professions Day. All parents who presented made very careful preparations that brought their professions vividly to life for the children.

 
Sean from Eagle’s mother introduced us to the brief history of the airplane, emphasizing on the design and functions of the cargo plane.

Jagger from Lion's father explained taught us about fitness and led the children in some simple exercises.

Hanna from Penguin’s father is a tooling engineer, specializing in providing services to German Volkswagen, Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benzes, Bentley and other first-tier automobile brands. He mainly told the children how the plastic products we use in our life come to be.

Miya C from Eagle’s mother is a client manager in a Top 500 IT company. She talked about computers as a human’s good friends. She mainly explained the origin and history of the computer, what the computers looks like and their components.

Lucas from Penguin’s mother shared with us the daily work of the airline companies as well as the floriculture.

Bella from Bunny’s mother introduced to us some very practical and helpful safety issues we should pay attention to when travelling in vehicles.

Vic from Lion's father taught the children to identify all the specimens containing gold and copper ore, helping them directly perceive the colors, shapes and hardness of the specimens through the senses. He also played some games with the children to strengthen their knowledge.

Laura from Elephant’s grandfather is a professor of medicine and an experienced clinician. He shared with children the daily work of a doctor and taught them some methods to prevent diseases.

Silvia from Whale’s mother, using pictures and interactive forms, introduced the children to the types and styles of different buildings as well as common mechanical vehicles.

Anita from Dolphin’s mother told the children about the origin and development of monitoring systems and how they bring convenience to people’s lives.

Oscar from Bear’s father introduced to us the different categories and sources of food, and other topics that are relevant to our lives.

Today’s Parents’ Professions Day made a big difference to our children, allowing them to gain a further understanding of professions. Sunshine Home would like to take this opportunity to express our special thanks to our parents for your kindly participation and great support.
