Keep fire safety in mind

In the afternoon of May 11, 2018, Lakeside Campus carried out fire safety exercises for teachers and students. The purpose was to enable children to learn self-protection, and understand how to escape quickly and effectively when confronted with fire.

At 2:50 PM, the emergency alarm sounded, and the teachers of all classes quickly led the children to pick up wet towels, cover their mouth and nose and walk with stooped small steps quickly down the stairs. On the way, the children were quiet and orderly.

The children concentrated on the safety area of the playground. The teacher quickly counted the children and reported to the chief commander. The entire evacuation only took 2 minutes and 40 seconds. Through this exercise the teachers and students learned how to save themselves from fire, how to evacuate the building, how to call 119, and that in the case of emergencies they should remain calm.

We have integrated safety education into our daily teaching. In particular, every Friday will include safety education to help children understand how to face emergencies in the correct way, especially regarding fire safety.

In the future Sunshinehome will continue to make safety education a priority in daily activities and create a safe environment for children's health and happiness.
