BRICS English Class

Hi, everyone, I’m proud to say I’m bilingual!

The BRICS Summit in Xiamen will be held in September, when Amoy will welcome many politicians, media and representative from BRICS and other observer states.

Hosting the Summit is a major coup for Xiamen and its citizens. If you meet BRICS guests in a meeting or at a restaurant, will you be able to speak with them in proper English to help them figure out any challenges they may face while visiting our beautiful Amoy?

Don’t worry, we will have a BRICS Summit English Lesson each week to share with you real-life conversational dialogue and to give you a fun-and-easy learning experience. You can scan the QR code to watch the video and read and practice together with our foreign teachers.

I know that with practice you will feel far more confident when speaking with BRICS Summit guests. So let’s start our first lesson!

Greetings

A: Hello, I’m, John Smith.

B: Hi, I am Lin Ying, it’s nice to meet you.

A: Nice to meet you, too.
