Our students were joined by some of our amazing parents on Friday for Parent Professions Day at the Seaside branch. Everyone put a lot of effort into their presentations, and the kids loved learning about different careers and how awesome our parents are.

A very special thanks goes out to the following parents who participated in the event. The Lions class hosted Albert’s mom who works in international trade. She showed everyone how to sell Chinese goods to various countries. From the Monkeys class was Cecelia’s dad, who is a lawyer. He showed everyone how to handle a case in court. 

Damon’s dad is a pilot, and he explained to everyone the essential elements of his job. The Bunnies class brought in Ethan’s mom, who is also involved in overseas trade. She brought a big model ship and demonstrated how a ship carries goods to a different country. The Hippos class invited Eliza's mom. She is a management consultant and used experiments to illustrate the concept of time management. 

Joy's mom is from the fire department and taught fire safety. The Elephants class hosted Kinston’s dad, who designs professional painting projects.

The Giraffes class invited Max's mom to show everyone a traditional tea ceremony. Olivia Huang's dad explained how robots work. We also had Serena's mom, a dentist, demonstrate dental care and hygiene.

This was a really important day because a major part of early childhood is identifying role models at home and elsewhere. It was an exciting opportunity for our children to learn how skilled and talented our parents are. They showed all of us some of the many different ways in which we can live a fulfilling professional life.

We want to thank the parents who shared their work lives with our children. We also thank all our parents for being role models both as professionals and as loving parents!
