Sweet Memories in Elephants Class

I have spent so many happy days with the Elephants since I began in 2016. It’s been so special to witness them grow up step by step. Many times I have been surprised how a small gesture from a student can warm my heart so much. I’d like to share a few memories of how my students have deeply impressed me with their kindness and growth.

The first memory that comes to mind happened during out spring field trip. One of our girls stopped me to hand me something. It was a thank you card she made all by herself! I felt so warm and touched that she could be so thoughtful.

I also think one of our girl’s first days in Elephants. Her mother hoped that we could help her become more outgoing and active during class and outdoor time. It only took her a short time to adjust to the new class, and she quickly become more and more outgoing. She began to volunteer during circle time. When we went outside, she would play games with others and me. I was so happy to see her transformation.

I feel so privileged to have had the chance to have these special experiences with Elephant students. I love that I am here to witness and help them grow step by step, and I am so excited about their bright futures!
